Guy Billout (born in Decize in 1941) is a French artist and illustrator. Billout’s aesthetic style is clean and spare, sometimes incorporating some ironic element. His work has been featured in Atlantic Monthly magazine and in several books, including a collection of Greek mythology.

I borrowed this book from a colleague at work about 3 weks ago and I can honestly say that this book has given me new perspective in life.
Before this book, I was 22 lost, disillusioned, hated my body and had no real sense of purpose. I just ebbed and flowed in the currents of life. I would wake up, go to work, eat ans sleep.
pages later I can say my life has taken on a new meaning. I have made it a goal to make sure I get the most out of my body, the only one I’m getting in this life and have learned to respect it and take care of it. I run 8 kms a day now which is a major accomplishment for someone who’s never run other than out of necessity.The results are starting to show and I am really happy about it.
I can also say I have learnt to dwell in the positive and can banish negativity within my mind almost instantly.The book touches nothing on positivity directly but the whole flow and style of the author really makes your mind wander and breach its normal horizons.

I have gained a whole lot more from this memoir but cannot put it to words at the moment. Strongly recommend it to anyone whose life is shrouded in monotony.
You definitely need it.
